Competitions are Approaching at Am Dance!

Hip Hop Competitive Division from 2024

One of the largest events at Am Dance is the annual competition we participate in. Each year we participate in several competition on North America to ensure our student get a chance to be on stage in a competitive environment. We find this to be such a rewarding experience for our students and everyone comes out with a huge boost in skills and confidence.

This year is no different, we are pleased to confirm that Am Dance will be participating in three competitions this year, details and divisions below. The costumes are starting to come in and students are so excited to try them as we pick up the speed in practice, costume and hair adjustments and reversals.

With competitions, students need to practice early with their performance pieces. Ballet dancers need to get used to their props, while Chinese Dance competitors need to learn their moves and swings with the large hairpieces and big flowing dresses they will often have. This is also a time where we modify any choreography that may not agree with the costume design to create the perfect piece for stage.
