"Dream Blossom" - AM Dance's First Annual Performance a Great Success

On June 8th Am Dance held its first large scale Annual Performance at the Gateway Theater in Richmond. The performance featured 30 performances and over 100 performers.

This performance we had so many first. It was the first time for us to hold a performance in a full size theater. First time planning a performance with a large professional technical crew. First time doing stage design for so many performance pieces. Most importantly, first time to involve all of our non competitive students in a complete performance.

Many dancers never stepped onto the stage before, and do not know the processes in the backstage section. Due to the nature of stage performances, parents were not allowed to be back stage, dancers however adapted quickly with the support of their classmates, teachers and volunteers. They kept eachother busy and happy, patiently waited to be called to line up for their performance. This is what we are the most proud of, all the dancers young and old worked together to make the performance a success with no hiccups.

Great thanks to our amazing volunteers, who helped everyone with back stage changes, lineups, stage calls, check ins and more. Not everyone had previous experience with stage performances, but nonetheless you all worked so well and supported all the dancers greatly!

Many thanks to all our teachers and generous sponsors. Thank you to all families who came to support the dancers, we look forward to more great years to come.
